Hurricane Chris formed today from what was Tropical Storm Chris. With winds of 85mph, the storm is between North Carolina and Bermuda.
The motion will keep it away from the US East coast and from Bermuda. They will get rip currents and swells. Chris will likely get a little stronger tomorrow before weakening in the colder waters of the northern Atlantic. Toward the weekend, it may hit Newfoundland as a tropical storm.
Chris is the second hurricane of the 2018 hurricane season, and the third named storm of the season. Follow the track on your free WKRG News 5 weather app.
